Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked for a dog in early stage 3 kidney disease I fed Iams Renal Plus to my elderly shepherd mix for about 6 months. She liked it better than the other prescription renal foods that she had been on for the previous year and a half, and her kidney numbers remained just as stable on the Renal Plus as they had been previously. We had to put her down at age 16-1/2 for reasons other than the kidney disease.
