  1. HERE'S HOW IT WORKS: Each month for 14 months, the two (2) participating animal shelters that get the most votes at www.iams.com will each be awarded a month's supply of Iams Pet Food.


  2. ELIGIBILITY: Voters must be residents of the 50 United States (except Maine) or the District of Columbia, who, at time of voting, are 18 or older and are registered at www.Iams.com. Employees of Procter & Gamble, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void in the state of Maine and where prohibited by law.


  3. HERE'S HOW TO VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE ANIMAL SHELTER: Beginning at 12:00:01am (ET) on 11/3/09 through 11:59:59pm (ET) on 12/31/10 ("Promotion Period"), visit www.iams.com and follow the on-screen instructions to vote for your favorite animal shelter from the list of participating animal shelters. Votes must be received by 11:59:59pm (ET) on the last day of each month during the promotion for the vote to be included in that month's tabulation of votes only. Votes will not be carried over into subsequent months. Limit one vote per registered user per day. If more than one vote is received per person per day, only the first vote received will be eligible.

    Participating Shelters: To participate, animal shelters/rescue organizations must be registered participants in the Iams Home 4 the Holidays program. You can refer your shelter via the online "Refer Your Shelter" program OR shelters can register for the program at http://www.animalcenter.org/home4theholidays. Shelters that join the program before the 15th of the month, will be eligible to receive votes on the 1st day of the following month. Shelters that join the program on the 15th of the month or later, will be eligible to receive votes on the 1st day of the 2nd month after joining.


  4. DETERMINATION OF WINNING SHELTERS: The participating animal shelters that receive the most votes in each calendar month during the promotion period, will receive a Monthly Award (subject to verification of shelter's eligibility pursuant to Terms & Conditions established for participating shelters). In the event of a tie in any given month, duplicate awards will be awarded. Limit one award per shelter. Decisions of judges are final. Winning shelters will be notified by mail.


  5. AWARDS & APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES: All 28 awards with a total maximum approximate retail value of $112,000, will be awarded as follows: (28) Monthly Awards (two per month) - Winning shelter's choice of a one-month supply of Iams ProActive Health Dry Dog Food and/or Iams ProActive Health Dry Cat Food (not to exceed a total retail value of $4,000) (ARV: will vary between $2,000 and $4,000 per award, depending upon quantity of dog and/or cat food chosen). Awards consist of only the item(s) specifically listed as part of the award.


  6. GENERAL RULES: Authorized personnel at potential winning shelters will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability, Award Acceptance Form and, if legally permissible, a Publicity Release within 10 days of attempted delivery of same. Noncompliance within this time period or return of any award/award notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winning shelter may be selected. No substitution or transfer of award by winning shelter permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute award of equal or greater value. If a winning animal shelter is not designated as 501(c) by the United States Internal Revenue, that animal shelter will be solely responsible for any applicable taxes. By accepting award, winning shelters agree to hold Sponsor, its respective directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of award. Winning shelters assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this promotion or use or redemption of any award. Acceptance of award constitutes permission for the Sponsor and its agencies to use winning shelters' names and/or likenesses for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, including a winning shelters list, unless prohibited by law. Voters (or parent/legal guardian if voter is a minor) agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor, its respective directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless from and against any and all liability and damages. By participating in this promotion, voters (or parent/legal guardian if voter is a minor) agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the judges' decisions which are final. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any sweepstakes materials and the terms and conditions of the Official Rules, the Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control. All material submitted becomes the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the program or in the announcement of the awards.


  7. WINNING SHELTERS: The names of winning animal shelters will be posted at www.iams.com, approximately one month after the month in which they won.

NOTICE TO VOTERS: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Not responsible for faulty, incorrect or mistranscribed phone transmissions, incorrect announcements of any kind, technical hardware or software failures of any kind including any injury or damage to any person's computer related to or resulting from participating in or experiencing any materials in connection with the promotion, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission that may limit a user's ability to participate in the promotion. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the promotion if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the program; or if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration or security of the program as determined by Sponsor/judging agency/administrator, in their sole discretion. If technical malfunctions or suspect voting/irregularities corrupt the voting process, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to award the awards based solely on the non-suspect votes. In the event of termination, a notice will be posted online and all eligible votes entries received prior to termination will be included in the tabulation to determine all remaining months' winning shelters. Any damage made to the Web Site will be the responsibility of the authorized e-mail account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. Proof of submitting votes will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Any votes which are suspected of being fraudulent (including those using robotic, automatic, programmed or similar methods of participation) will be disqualified, based on determinations made solely by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to prohibit the participation/voting of an individual if fraud or tampering is suspected or if the account holder fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein or with any provision in these Official Rules.
