I have two cats, one male and one female, who are now ages 13 & 14, but you'd never know it because they are so healthy. They look 1/2 their age.
From 2005-2012, I fed them Purina's Indoor Formula because both of them like to eat too much. They are mostly outdoor cats in a quiet, safe neighborhood but have access to the garage where all their stuff is staged: beds, blankets, toys, cat tree, cubes, boxes, food, and water. When the weather is bad or below 40 deg F, they come inside. They are also

constant companions after hours. They groom, cuddle, and sleep together at night. I think this explains in large part why they look so much younger than they are. THEY'RE HAPPY CATS!
By 2012, however, I noticed that they were becoming older after I saw some of their old snapshots. They're faces had gotten skinny. I felt guilty for having fed them Purina Indoor Formula for years. So, I did some research and gave IAMS Senior Plus 11+ cat food a try. I slowly transitioned them from indoor to senior plus and they never once got sick. They also seem to enjoy this food and haven't lost any weight, which is a good thing in this situation.
They've been eating it for almost a year and the other day (Aug 2013) I noticed them playing outside. The oldest was playing attack cat. It had been a long while since I caught them playing like that. So, I'm not sure if it was coincidence or if the food really lives up to its claims. But, I'm not changing their food despite the expense. If I could afford it, I'd probably feed them the premium/advanced version of IAMS Senior Plus 11+ cat food, but I can't afford it.
I do recommend this product.
My cat is now 18 years old and for many years she has had trouble with hairballs no matter what cat food formula I tried. Finally with this food the hairballs being expelled are gone. She has lost weight and is a happier cat.
The only odd thing is that she has lost a lot of hair but there is fish oil in the food so I am just watching to see if it comes back.
My cats have been eating the new IAMS cat food for several weeks now. The cat food that we were given to try, and now have switched to and use regularly, is the IAMS Proactive Health Indoor Weight and Hairball Care. I must say, at first, the transition was a bit rough. My cats have had some issues in the past with coughing up some hairballs, it was no big deal. Immediately after starting this food, they were coughing them up all day long!!! It was really rather disgusting, but I was shocked to

see that they had so much fur stuck in their bellies, and this food helped to relieve that. After about 10 days, there have been no more issues. No more nasty hairballs. I have decided to stick with this particular formula food because I believe that it controls the hairballs, and I like that the food is in very small pieces. My cats also LOVE to eat this food, so it must be flavorful! I would recommend this brand and formula cat food to all indoor cat owners.
My cats are usually incredibly picky when it comes to their dry food. Whenever I try a new brand, I have to slowly mix it into their old food and slowly transition it just to see if they like it or not. I've been stuck feeding them the same food for quite awhile just because they wouldn't touch any other brand.
When i got the Iams ProActive Health cat food, I started the same way: by mixing a bit of it with their favorite dry food. Then over the coming days/weeks, I put more and more Iams,

until they were only eating Iams. They haven't had a single issue since! I have noticed they even look a bit slimmer and have more energy! I love that I have finally found a new food for them that they not only love, but is healthy for them. This is definitely my new go-to food!
I have been very impressed with Iam's Adult with Chicken cat food, and it really takes a lot for a dry cat food to impress me , and even harder for it to impress my cat, Mudvayne ( yes, names after the band ). Normally , I have to mix a high end wet food with any dry food that I give him, and if I am lucky, he will eat the wet food , maybe some of the dry food. Sometimes he just licks the wet food off of the dry food leaving the dry food behind.
So imagine my surprise when I gave him a scoop of

the Iams Adult with Chicken, that I received compliments of BzzAgent, straight out of the bag, no wet food added and he began to gobble it right up without any finicky hesitation at all! I was in complete shock that a cat food that was packed with all of nutrients he needs also appealed to his super picky taste buds.
I would definitely recommend Iams Adult with Chicken to anyone with a a super persnickety feline in their life, that not only wants a food that their furry love will find super yummy, but will also help keep their fur baby's diet packed with all of the nutrients he/she needs as well.
Iams Adult with Chicken will definitely be becoming a staple in our pet food pantry and I would venture a guess that it will become a staple in anyone else's who gives it a try :)
I received this cat food from IAMS, it's designed for adult cats. My cats loves it, I've noticed that she is eating more, it might be because this food contains chicken, which she loves. I'm happy that she likes it and it's good for my cat. I usually feed her wet food and some dry food, but now I'm noticing that she's eating more dry food and that's good because dry food seems to be better for cats.
Wow, iams! My cat loves your product! She just can't stop meowing for more! Her food is alway unabandoned, and even my dogs like it better that their iams food! I recomend this cat food to anyone with a middle aged cat, and even people with kittens! It is a great product. I will not but anything else. I could tell the difference when we switched food after we bought her. It is excelent, and my cat is very active, espesially after meals. The iams weight control proactive health is a product for

every cat of just about every age and I know that if my cat lives long enough so that she won't always eat it, another package of iams cat food is the only replacement that would be fit for my cat. And any other brand is out of the question completely. No one is convincing me to get another brand.
We own six indoor cats.
They are all very healthy, thanks to IAMS! We have some senior cats with the oldest being 15 and 13 years old. They act as though they are still young cats. Our other cats are young adults.
One thing is for sure. Our cats most definitely prefer the small round shaped morsels as is sold in this particular IAMS food. They do not seem to want to eat the triangular shaped food.
We are very happy with IAMS!! All our cats have a good weight and shiny coats.
Initially I purchased Iams kitten food on the spur of the monent when I found out my daughter was going to adopt two kittens. It was the first bag I saw on the shelf and I needed to get everything for their arrival. The kittnes arrived and really seemed to enjoy the Iams food so I continued purchasing it. It did not take long to see how healthy looking their coat's were and how active they were. My daughter has moved out and I have always had cats since I could remember. I adopted two litter

mates, male and female. Bill and Rose were started on Iams Kitten Food from the start and they are fine examples of the cat family. Their coats are sleek and shiny, they are balls of energy. Since they are approaching adulthood I am looking at the different varieties of Iams adult cat food to see what would be best for them.
When my girlfriends cat gave birth to a litter of five kittens we had no idea what to start feeding them. At first it was just the mothers milk but as they got a bit older they needed solid food. We went to our local pet shop and picked up a bag of Iams kitten food. We were nervous at first that the kittens would not like it and that it might be bad for them since it wasnt the pricey all natural stuff that everyone talks about. Well when we got home and fed it to them they loved it. I actually

ended up keeping two of the original five. Shadow and Sylvester. They have been fed Iams kitten food ever since. They beg for it when its feeding time and eat it all up. It gives them tremendous amounts of energy. I especially love the formula they have for brain development. I like this because as they grew up you can really tell that they have grown up to be intelligent, confident, and extremely affectionate cats. Both of their coats is beautiful especially Sylvester its show cat quality. When people pet them they always ask what I do or feed them and I always am proud to say I feed them Iams. I went from being afraid and unsure of this food to a solid believer of the product. I cant wait to transition them to adult food soon and keep the Iams name in our family
Our 1½ year old cat was having stomach issues. Not fun. Every morning we'd wake to a nasty hairball that was thrown up (and a bad litter box). I was afraid he had some virus and was ready to take him to the vet the following day. By chance I passed the Hairball treats (which states to use in conjunction with the food) so I bought a bag of Hairball Care as well. We were desperate to get the issues under control. Within 2 days he was back to complete normal! It's been 2 weeks now and we have had

only one additional hairball and it was a "normal" one. (I should mention that he is long-haired.)
On a side note: he is CRAZY for the food. If his bowl is empty, he knocks it down the stairs and follows you around the house, batting at your legs, until you give him more. I have never seen him eat food so fast and so enthusiastically. Definitely a win-win for all of us!
I love the IAMS brand but I noticed when I used the cat food with salmon instead of chicken my cat stopped having dandruff. Now I can't find the IAMS with salmon. Have they stopped making it? I have moved and can't find it anywhere. HELP!
