I have two cats, siblings. My female, Mittens, is long-haired and her brother is shorter haired. Her hair can get matted easily, so I brush her often. They both seem to enjoy this cat food. It does control the hairball issue better than the non-hairball Iams cat food.
My cats throws-up most dry food. They love this food and keep it down.
Please continue to provide this dry food.
My cat is a very picky eater and usually last on a certain brand of food for a week before she tires of it and I have to switch to a different brand. Im rotating different brand cat food on a weekly basis and so I was really looking forward to trying this brand of Iams Cat food. My cat has had Iams before but not this specific brand of Iams. This first day I put a little in a bow to see what happened. My cat did her usual thing and walked around her bowl a few times looking at the food in it.

She just kept circuling it and finally after what seemed like 5 or so minutes I saw my cat eat some. When I checked the bowl later all the food was gone. For the next few days I put a little down of the Iams and some other cat food. Eventually my cat wasn't even eating the other cat food and I found myself putting more of the Iams in her bowl. Weeks later and she hasn't tired of the Iams and Im shocked. Im glad she enjoys this cat food because I love that Iams Proactive Health Adult Indoor Weight and Hairball care is healthy for her. In the past few weeks Ive noticed a difference in my cat like she has lost a litte weight which was good and she had more energy then in the past. I used Iams in the past but Im definitely going back to using it because my cat loves it. A brand worth giving a chance to.
My Iams® ProActive Health™ cat food bzzkit could not have arrived at a better time! My cat's bowl was empty and she was siting next to it demanding to be fed. So, I immediately put Iams® ProActive Health™ to the test. I pulled out two bowls that looked exactly the same and poured equal amounts of the food she had been eating (store brand from an emergency dash to the supermarket to get her fed) into one bowl and Iams® ProActive Health™ cat food in the other. The results were clear; she inhaled

the food from the Iams bowl and completely ignored the store brand. Even after she finished the Iams, she did not touch the other bowl!
In the following weeks, she continued to eat Iams® ProActive Health™ cat food exclusively. She has had less hairballs and her coat is shinier. She has always been small, but as she aged (she is now 15) she developed a bit of a belly. The other day, I noticed her belly was a bit smaller and she looked leaner.
Based on her initial reaction to the food, I think the taste of Iams® ProActive Health™ cat food makes my cat happy. It feels good to feed her great quality food that she loves to eat.
My cat NEEDS this cat food. He's about 13 years old. He's been on it for a while. Iams his whole life. Suddenly I cannot find this senior plus anywhere. He's not responding well to any other cat food. I've tried about 5 other kinds, several by Iams. Not producing solid bowel movements. What is going on, Iams?
I have two cats, one male and one female, who are now ages 13 & 14, but you'd never know it because they are so healthy. They look 1/2 their age.
From 2005-2012, I fed them Purina's Indoor Formula because both of them like to eat too much. They are mostly outdoor cats in a quiet, safe neighborhood but have access to the garage where all their stuff is staged: beds, blankets, toys, cat tree, cubes, boxes, food, and water. When the weather is bad or below 40 deg F, they come inside. They are also

constant companions after hours. They groom, cuddle, and sleep together at night. I think this explains in large part why they look so much younger than they are. THEY'RE HAPPY CATS!
By 2012, however, I noticed that they were becoming older after I saw some of their old snapshots. They're faces had gotten skinny. I felt guilty for having fed them Purina Indoor Formula for years. So, I did some research and gave IAMS Senior Plus 11+ cat food a try. I slowly transitioned them from indoor to senior plus and they never once got sick. They also seem to enjoy this food and haven't lost any weight, which is a good thing in this situation.
They've been eating it for almost a year and the other day (Aug 2013) I noticed them playing outside. The oldest was playing attack cat. It had been a long while since I caught them playing like that. So, I'm not sure if it was coincidence or if the food really lives up to its claims. But, I'm not changing their food despite the expense. If I could afford it, I'd probably feed them the premium/advanced version of IAMS Senior Plus 11+ cat food, but I can't afford it.
I do recommend this product.
Digestive Care lives up to its advertisement. I have 5 cats. One needed to lose some weight. 3 of my cats are more sensitive than the others. So finding a food ALL of them will eat without digestive upset is a BIG CHALLENGE! I did my research and decided to try Iams Digestive Care. Another reason I needed to switch was due to financial reasons. I had been feeding a boutique style cat food that cost way more than Iams Digestive Care.
My cats have eaten Iams Digestive Care for six weeks and are

doing great. My over weight cat does feel full and isn't begging for food. I feed to what their body size should be (also add some wet). Their fur is soft and smooth. Eyes look great. Two of my cats HAD bad eye drainage but even that is clearing up. My overweight cat is slowly losing his weight while not offending the sensitive systems of my other cats. Cats should always lose weight SLOWLY if they need to shed a few pounds. A vet should also be consulted since an underlying medical condition could contribute to obesity. In my case, I was overfeeding...oops!
The kibble size is not to small and not to large. Food smells fresh when the bag is opened. I like that I can get this food at a variety of stores, including those opened 24 hours a day. My cats give this food 20 paws up :-) And my wallet says "thank you Iams!" I found a really good food that is no longer breaking my piggy bank and agrees with ALL of my cats.
I adopted a Siamese mix cat from a local rescue group who told me she was having diarrhea due to some rich cat food donated to the rescue. My vet tested for worms and parasites and found nothing. For 3 years, I've tried different foods for sensitive systems, even one specific for the breed with very limited success. I tried grain free thinking she must have an allergy - the grain free foods just made the problem worse. Iams Digestive Care is the only food that works well for her. She and my

Pippi and I thank you!
My cat is typically hard to please; he's so picky about what food he wants to eat. I rotate through brands all the time, trying to find something that he'll enjoy. He gravitates to mostly dry cat food, so I was on the lookout for something he would eat and return to regularly.
What is important to me is quality--not a cat food that is more fillers or byproducts than protein. I also want something that is suitable for my two-year old cat. He's mainly indoors, so his health and nutrition are

important factors when I choose his meals.
I've tried the Iams brand for his wet food in the past, but I had not tried the Iams Proactive Health dry cat food. Before I even served it, I checked the information on the packaging: premium cat nutrition, 0% fillers, healthy teeth, skin, coat, and metabolism. I looked at the ingredients and noted that the first ingredient is chicken. From experience, I know how hard it is to find a dry cat food that has the protein listed first instead of another ingredient. The ingredients also include dried egg, dried beet pulp--food I recognize! There is also a helpful feeding guideline to ensure that you are not overfeeding your cat.
I also researched the price of the 5.7 pound bag, because who isn't price conscious? I can get the Iams Proactive Health Original with Chicken for $10.99 or less if on sale. It's in the majority of my local markets, too! If I follow the feeding advice, and I only give my cat one cup a day, 5 pounds for $10 is a great bargain!
Obviously, if my cat wouldn't eat it, that would be a huge problem. Yet, when I measured out the cup of food and put it in the bowl, he ran to it and started munching! He really enjoys the taste! It honestly gives me peace of mind!
I definitely recommend Iams for your cat; it comes in smaller-sized bags if you don't want to commit to a 5 lb bag. But if your cat proves to be like mine, you may be visiting your local market soon to stock up!
I used to purchase a few different cat foods for our cats, depending what was on sale, what I had a coupon for, and what I could get cheapest...only selecting from what I felt was top brand cat food (basically all the cat foods you will see Iams list on their comparison list). I thought they were all the same. Then, my daughter decided she wanted to shave our midlength coat, black bombay cat. This gave me an idea to see if we could visually see a difference if we stuck with solely Iams cat food

while she regrew her hair. As her coat regrew, we noticed a difference quickly. She's always been a gorgeous cat, but now her coat is so glossy and even more silky. Her trouble with hairballs also cut down tremendously from many times a week to rarely ever, and her hair has been fully grown back to its original length for at least a year. I have refused to buy any other brand since, not only for the cats, but for our dog as well. If it makes that much of a difference in their coats, I can only imagine the difference it makes on their entire bodies.
When I sat down and read the IAMS Pro Active Health Cat Food bag, I was happy. I was impressed with how well formulated this cat food was, and I felt great about giving it to my cats. However, I didn't really think to them it would make a large difference. Some cats are picky, mine are not. I knew for their over all health, this would be a great change, but for their palate I didn't think I would have much to share.
Boy was I wrong! As I just shared, I was thrilled and feeling great that this

cat food is formulated directly for my cats - to help their digestion, hair balls and metabolism. What I wasn't prepared for? The fact that my cats are on cloud nine with this new IAMS Cat food! The little bites size pieces, which are smaller than any other adult cat food we've tried (them, not me, I don't eat it sillies..) are perfect for my oldest cat, who finds them easier to chew.
I used to get up and feed the kitties, and they would make their way to their food when "they were ready".. But now, clearly every thing has changed. After the first time feeding them the new IAMS food, they are climbing all over me when they want it. I keep them on a schedule, but they never used to really "anticipate" feeding time. Now, if I'm within five minutes of the time I feed them, they are already jumping on me, and rolling around. It's silly, and sweet, and I owe it all to IAMS. IAMS really has added a closeness between my cats and our family. They love the food, we love giving it to them, and they seem to be grateful. Thank you for a wonderful Cat food I can feel great about, and my Kitties Love - Thanks IAMS!
I received this product from Iams to review. I have a six-year-old female cat. I started transitioning my cat 2 weeks ago. She has been on this food since and has very much enjoyed it.
First I would like to note that Iams recommends transitioning a cat from their old food to a new food over a period of four days. This is something completely new to me. I switched cat foods a lot and have never thought of transitioning my cat between foods. This makes me reconsider some of the foods she has

rejected previously. Maybe if I had transitioned her correctly she would have enjoyed these foods.
Here are the pros of this food:
1. My cat likes it. Some of her other previous foods she has rejected. This one she enjoyed so I will most definitely be purchasing it again.
2. The ingredients are quality ingredients. Many of the other cheaper cat food brands have fillers has as their main ingredient. Feeding my cat the Iams brand, I know she is getting quality food and makes me feel more confident with what I am giving her.
3. My cat can have issues with her digestive health. This product did not seem to have any ill effects on her whatsoever. She's very easily tolerated the change and has had no issues over the past two weeks that I have been feeding her this food.
1. While it is easily available online, I have looked in my local Walmart and have been unable to find this specific Iams item. There are several other Iams items in my Walmart, this one is not there. Sometimes I do run low on cat food and where this has limited availability, I would have to supplement with some other food.
2. The price of this cat food is much higher than those of other brands. While the ingredients are of higher quality, some people will be hesitant to pay the more expensive cost.
Overall, I think that this product is great. My cat enjoyed the new cat food and I will be buying more iams products in the future.
