I adopted a Siamese mix cat from a local rescue group who told me she was having diarrhea due to some rich cat food donated to the rescue. My vet tested for worms and parasites and found nothing. For 3 years, I've tried different foods for sensitive systems, even one specific for the breed with very limited success. I tried grain free thinking she must have an allergy - the grain free foods just made the problem worse. Iams Digestive Care is the only food that works well for her. She and my

other Siamese like the taste and her digestive system is finally in sync.
Pippi and I thank you!
Digestive Care lives up to its advertisement. I have 5 cats. One needed to lose some weight. 3 of my cats are more sensitive than the others. So finding a food ALL of them will eat without digestive upset is a BIG CHALLENGE! I did my research and decided to try Iams Digestive Care. Another reason I needed to switch was due to financial reasons. I had been feeding a boutique style cat food that cost way more than Iams Digestive Care.
My cats have eaten Iams Digestive Care for six weeks and are

doing great. My over weight cat does feel full and isn't begging for food. I feed to what their body size should be (also add some wet). Their fur is soft and smooth. Eyes look great. Two of my cats HAD bad eye drainage but even that is clearing up. My overweight cat is slowly losing his weight while not offending the sensitive systems of my other cats. Cats should always lose weight SLOWLY if they need to shed a few pounds. A vet should also be consulted since an underlying medical condition could contribute to obesity. In my case, I was overfeeding...oops!
The kibble size is not to small and not to large. Food smells fresh when the bag is opened. I like that I can get this food at a variety of stores, including those opened 24 hours a day. My cats give this food 20 paws up :-) And my wallet says "thank you Iams!" I found a really good food that is no longer breaking my piggy bank and agrees with ALL of my cats.
I aquired a Russian Blue Kitten from a local rescue. The rescue owner was feeding a good brand of kitten food but Ziva was still not looking good. She had a dull coat, low energy, and would eat almost 4 cups of food a day. I desided to switch to a differant brand and a friend had a bunch of kitten food after she found it a new home. I slowly added it to Zivas' food and at first she was eating less so I thought she didn't like it but she started to put on weight and her coat got slick and shiney.

Thank you for making a high quality food for my kitten that even a college kid can afford.
We got our kitten from a shelter. They had been using a different brand of food for our kitten Sophie. I had already purchased Iams before I knew what brand they had been using for her. I did stay with the Iams and mixed the two brands together until she was used to the Iams alone. I knew about a week later that the Iams was the better brand. Her coat became more shiny and she gobbled up the food like there was no tomorrow.
When I sat down and read the IAMS Pro Active Health Cat Food bag, I was happy. I was impressed with how well formulated this cat food was, and I felt great about giving it to my cats. However, I didn't really think to them it would make a large difference. Some cats are picky, mine are not. I knew for their over all health, this would be a great change, but for their palate I didn't think I would have much to share.
Boy was I wrong! As I just shared, I was thrilled and feeling great that this

cat food is formulated directly for my cats - to help their digestion, hair balls and metabolism. What I wasn't prepared for? The fact that my cats are on cloud nine with this new IAMS Cat food! The little bites size pieces, which are smaller than any other adult cat food we've tried (them, not me, I don't eat it sillies..) are perfect for my oldest cat, who finds them easier to chew.
I used to get up and feed the kitties, and they would make their way to their food when "they were ready".. But now, clearly every thing has changed. After the first time feeding them the new IAMS food, they are climbing all over me when they want it. I keep them on a schedule, but they never used to really "anticipate" feeding time. Now, if I'm within five minutes of the time I feed them, they are already jumping on me, and rolling around. It's silly, and sweet, and I owe it all to IAMS. IAMS really has added a closeness between my cats and our family. They love the food, we love giving it to them, and they seem to be grateful. Thank you for a wonderful Cat food I can feel great about, and my Kitties Love - Thanks IAMS!
Our Cats, Toonces and Walter loved the Iams Proactive Health Chicken and Salmon cat food. They normally share a food dish but they kept crowding each other out to eat it, so we had to get an additional cat food dish so they could eat at the same time without competing for the food. It has been a long time since they have had Iams food and they are really enjoying having Iams to eat again. The cat food does not have any strong odors and the pieces are small and easy for them to eat. Sometimes

when we change their cat food they get stomach distress as evidenced by vomiting and diarrhea, but we have not noticed any problems with changing their food. Both cats seem very happy and are well fed.
I have had every cat and kitten eat this food. I recently got a kitten that wouldn't eat any of the foods I bought, even the most expensive. I tried this and he ate it all! My mothers cat is the same this is the only food she will eat. I don't know what tastes so good here, but if your cat won't eat it I would love to know.
Ive got two indoor cats, one I'm trying to get to lose weight and the other old boy who needs to put some on.
This food is great for the both of them , in only two weeks I'm seeing results.
I highly recommend this food. I noticed my 16 year old guy, despite drinking tons of water, was having dry shriveled stool, and was a little more lethargic than normal. It was time to move to some better food. Less than a week after switching to this food, his poops looked normal again and within 2 weeks, he started running around the house like a maniac, again. This is one of the less expensive specialty foods and well worth it. He's not too picky and so there was pretty much no adjustment time

for him either.
Switched to this from a diet cat food when I realized how old my cat was getting. The cat likes this much better. And, not to be too gross, his stool is healthier looking (it looked dry with the diet food.)
I received the IAMS original chicken-flavored dry food for adult cats. My family has three cats, and their regular diet consists of 1/2 can wet food daily, plus as much dry food as they need. I set out a large bowl of the IAMS every day for a week. Two of my cats would go for the dry food even after finishing their wet canned food. One cat would eat the IAMS, but not as enthusiastically. She is a picky girl though and I don't think she liked changing her diet to a different food. This is a good,

balanced food for my cats and I would recommend it.
My cat is typically hard to please; he's so picky about what food he wants to eat. I rotate through brands all the time, trying to find something that he'll enjoy. He gravitates to mostly dry cat food, so I was on the lookout for something he would eat and return to regularly.
What is important to me is quality--not a cat food that is more fillers or byproducts than protein. I also want something that is suitable for my two-year old cat. He's mainly indoors, so his health and nutrition are

important factors when I choose his meals.
I've tried the Iams brand for his wet food in the past, but I had not tried the Iams Proactive Health dry cat food. Before I even served it, I checked the information on the packaging: premium cat nutrition, 0% fillers, healthy teeth, skin, coat, and metabolism. I looked at the ingredients and noted that the first ingredient is chicken. From experience, I know how hard it is to find a dry cat food that has the protein listed first instead of another ingredient. The ingredients also include dried egg, dried beet pulp--food I recognize! There is also a helpful feeding guideline to ensure that you are not overfeeding your cat.
I also researched the price of the 5.7 pound bag, because who isn't price conscious? I can get the Iams Proactive Health Original with Chicken for $10.99 or less if on sale. It's in the majority of my local markets, too! If I follow the feeding advice, and I only give my cat one cup a day, 5 pounds for $10 is a great bargain!
Obviously, if my cat wouldn't eat it, that would be a huge problem. Yet, when I measured out the cup of food and put it in the bowl, he ran to it and started munching! He really enjoys the taste! It honestly gives me peace of mind!
I definitely recommend Iams for your cat; it comes in smaller-sized bags if you don't want to commit to a 5 lb bag. But if your cat proves to be like mine, you may be visiting your local market soon to stock up!
