Rated 5 out of 5 by from Discontinued??? My cat NEEDS this cat food. He's about 13 years old. He's been on it for a while. Iams his whole life. Suddenly I cannot find this senior plus anywhere. He's not responding well to any other cat food. I've tried about 5 other kinds, several by Iams. Not producing solid bowel movements. What is going on, Iams?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rascal loves Lively Senior at age 15! I switched from the regular Indoor/Hairball formula to Lively Senior several years ago. My cat Rascal has been eating this and loves it. He had his 15th birthday today and continues to be my buddy and happy partner-in-crime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lively 14 yo Cat My cat has eaten Iams his entire life, and has always been extremely healthy. He is now 14 years old, and is just as playful as he was many years ago. I am completely satisfied and impressed with Iams.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent results! My Annie is seventeen years old. She was having problems trying to chew the dry food I had her on due to the hard kibbles. I asked my vet what I could buy for her and she didn't have a clue, needless to say I have changed vets. IAMS Sr. Lively was perfect for her. She loves it and races around like a kitten at times even with an arthritic hip! I have started feeding my twelve year old, Sophie, this as well and so far so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you're cats are getting old... I highly recommend this food. I noticed my 16 year old guy, despite drinking tons of water, was having dry shriveled stool, and was a little more lethargic than normal. It was time to move to some better food. Less than a week after switching to this food, his poops looked normal again and within 2 weeks, he started running around the house like a maniac, again. This is one of the less expensive specialty foods and well worth it. He's not too picky and so there was pretty much no adjustment time for him either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my elderly cat My elderly cat is 18 yrs old. She has arthritis and lots of trouble with bowel movements. I have been feeding her Iams lively senior for several weeks now. I am amazed at how much better she gets around and have seen an improvement with her poo problems. This is the best food I have ever given her. I'm very surprised she is doing so much better. Thanks Iams!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite It's the only cat food that he cares for . We have tried him on another brand for a while but refused to eat it so we put him back on IAMS.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No more hairballs My cat is now 18 years old and for many years she has had trouble with hairballs no matter what cat food formula I tried. Finally with this food the hairballs being expelled are gone. She has lost weight and is a happier cat.The only odd thing is that she has lost a lot of hair but there is fish oil in the food so I am just watching to see if it comes back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Stuff for Elderly Cats I have two cats, one male and one female, who are now ages 13 & 14, but you'd never know it because they are so healthy. They look 1/2 their age. From 2005-2012, I fed them Purina's Indoor Formula because both of them like to eat too much. They are mostly outdoor cats in a quiet, safe neighborhood but have access to the garage where all their stuff is staged: beds, blankets, toys, cat tree, cubes, boxes, food, and water. When the weather is bad or below 40 deg F, they come inside. They are also constant companions after hours. They groom, cuddle, and sleep together at night. I think this explains in large part why they look so much younger than they are. THEY'RE HAPPY CATS!By 2012, however, I noticed that they were becoming older after I saw some of their old snapshots. They're faces had gotten skinny. I felt guilty for having fed them Purina Indoor Formula for years. So, I did some research and gave IAMS Senior Plus 11+ cat food a try. I slowly transitioned them from indoor to senior plus and they never once got sick. They also seem to enjoy this food and haven't lost any weight, which is a good thing in this situation. They've been eating it for almost a year and the other day (Aug 2013) I noticed them playing outside. The oldest was playing attack cat. It had been a long while since I caught them playing like that. So, I'm not sure if it was coincidence or if the food really lives up to its claims. But, I'm not changing their food despite the expense. If I could afford it, I'd probably feed them the premium/advanced version of IAMS Senior Plus 11+ cat food, but I can't afford it.I do recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fat old cat happy Switched to this from a diet cat food when I realized how old my cat was getting. The cat likes this much better. And, not to be too gross, his stool is healthier looking (it looked dry with the diet food.)
